Township and Range Coverage

Generally, the western states are part of the township and range system while the eastern states and Texas are not. The township and range data presented here was sourced from the Bureau of Land Management.  All township and range states have Townships and Sections plotted.  However, not all states have quarter/quarters in the source data.

 

States that have township and range

Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, Wyoming


States that do not have township and range

Generally eastern states - Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Hawaii, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia
